Momentum Creative Community
A 6-month program to expand and unleash your creativity!

I started Momentum with the intent to write a play, my first, and, in doing so, be of service to the Veteran community.  My very early research into this made me quickly realize I was naive about this project and my endeavors would not serve. I was left feeling afloat.

 

Serendipity brought me to BookShop Santa Cruz to hear a favorite author of mine, Natalie Goldberg, speak about writing. Her talk reaffirmed I had been on a track of which I was not desirous of its direction. Her words inspired me to embrace the concept it was ok to just write; to form a practice of writing.

 

In this Momentous year my intent is: To be curious. To rediscover writing. To enjoy dance and theater. To play with poetry. And to learn how to support, and be supported by, community.
