Melt, Merge, Fly

 

This series will be directed towards those folks who are in their first two years of learning Contact Improvisation. We will explore and improve upon your ease with MELTING in and out of the floor using Axis Syllabus based principles and intuitive pleasure seeking. We will also begin to build the foundation of learning to FLY other dancers using the principles of weight sharing, bone stacking, momentum, centrifugal force and deep listening. Finally, we will tune into subtleties of jam skills. Learning how to MERGE with another dance and how to begin a contact dance, how to end a contact dance and hopefully help demystify the world of Contact in the context of an ecstatic dance.
